The Programs

Course Overview

At CARDS we offer Property Crime and Person Crime courses for both juvenile and adult offenders. (See below for adult offender information.)

Which is it for you?
You are one of many who are searching for answers right now. Maybe it was an alarming phone call made to your job from a retailer security guard, telling you that your child shoplifted. Maybe you are a youth who was caught shoplifting and you wonder what is in store for you as you walk through the juvenile justice system. Perhaps, you have not been caught and you have come to realize what began as something daring has become a thrill-seeking adventure that you cannot stop.

Community Alliance is the only organization in our state addressing juvenile PROPERTY OFFENSES (shoplifting, burglary I & II, joyriding, credit card fraud, embezzlement, and any other type of theft offenses such as PERSON CRIMES : PURSE SNATCHING, STRONG ARM ROBBERY, IDENTITY THEFT, ETC.) by not just providing a service but to assess the problem. As a community member and a stakeholder, we each have a responsibility in protecting what is ours. Theft of any kind, whether by force or secrecy, has instilled fear in our community members to the point they are afraid to venture out.
